Pop Up sustainably

There are lots of different ways to increase the sustainability of your pop-up shop, depending on how your want your strategy to reflect your brand.

  1. Go plastic-free

Depending on the kinds of goods you sell, consider switching plastic bottles and tubs to glass, or replace plastic wrapping with paper bags. Sometimes harder to achieve with an online ordering system, use your pop-up to make the change.

  1. Educate your customers

Offer workshops and talks in your pop-up on whichever elements of sustainability you feel most passionate about. Be transparent, too, on your own brand’s sustainability journey.

  1. Share your space

Find other brands who have similar values to those you do. Some of the coolest pop-up collaborations have been born of a similar outlook on ethical, sustainable production. By sharing the costs and resources of a pop-up, you can help your wallet while also creating a beautiful, low-impact space.

  1. Promote pre-loved

Corner off one rack or a display, and reserve it for recycled, upcycled or second-hand items. Let customers know they can donate things to you before you open, and consider offering a discount for those who do.
